Cotton Fest to debute in Durban

April 8, 2023

The freshest music and youth culture festival, Cotton Fest, will be making its debut in Durban this year. Set to take place at Kings Park Stadium on 2nd July 2023, it is known for having the hottest lineup in an electric atmosphere.

The festival, which started in Joburg in 2019 by the late global music and fashion icon Riky Rick, has become one of the most anticipated events on the South African entertainment calendar. It’s also a celebration of South African street culture, with good music and showcases fashion, popular sports, art, food, and so much more.

Performing across two stages, the lineup features some of the hottest talents in SA. Being kept under wraps for now, the team is promising that fans will be satisfied as with the Joburg and Cape Town editions.

“Durban has always been a city that openly embraces and supports music and youth culture. And we are thrilled to finally bring Cotton Fest home finally. Taking Cotton Fest to Durban, Riky’s birthplace, which was always part of his plan, is particularly special to the whole team,” said festival co-founder Bianca Naidoo, “and as always, we plan to bring together some of the biggest names from across the country to not only create an unforgettable experience for the Durban family but also celebrate how precious life is.”
