Kim Jayde X Grade Africa release limited edition tee

September 27, 2019

Award-winning media personality Kim Jayde collaborates with Grade Africa on a limited edition tee designed to promote the women’s empowerment movement and to create awareness around the hate crimes aimed at young girls and women.

Kim, who was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, has always been passionate about equality and remains an active participant in spreading positivity. Her strong ethos and unparalleled ability to influence the youth in creating a change that not only benefits them socially but also has the potential to create entrepreneurial opportunities has proven to be one of her most valuable traits. And, because Grade Africa is a brand dedicated to sustainability and making a positive change and creating opportunities for local talent – the two forces came together to create history.

I’ve always known I’d branch out into the fashion space. I wanted my first step to have meaning and purpose; women are truly taking a stand in South Africa. I couldn’t be more excited for this collaboration with Grade Africa. This is only the beginning. – Kim.

“Grade Africa is all about creating opportunity – and to be able to tell our own story. This collaboration does exactly that – to be working with Kim, is bigger than creating a fire tee – it’s really about empowering young females across the country and the world, but doing it through a universal language of fashion,” comments Zaid Osman, Founder Grade Africa.

A percentage of sales from the limited edition tee will be donated to the Home Of Hope For Girls whose core values are to restore human dignity. Home Of Hope For Girls consists of two residential homes for girls in the suburbs of Johannesburg and an outreach centre in the Hillbrow/Berea area. The centre supports vulnerable children and strives to end child trafficking and tackle the culture of sexual exploitation, violence and criminality that robs children of their future.

Kim Jayde x Grade Africa tee will be available at Sneaker Exchange CPT, on the 28th of September in limited quantities.
