A spicy, quickfire Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind brings the vibes this Dezemba

As sponsors of the Roast of Pearl Thusi, Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind collabed with Comedy Central in serving up a platter of shots to some of the SA celebs that we love, and love to hate.

Put under the grill, Pearl and the other panelists, David Kau, Tol Ass Mo, Farieda “Pharoahfi” Metsileng, Rob van Vuuren, Mam’ Lillian Dube, Idols‘ “Mr Nasty” Randall Abrahams, and entertainers Phat Joe, Zee Nxumalo, Zodwa Wabantu, Busiswa and Donald, all took and dished the spicy sizzle in equal measure.

Whether fan or foe of the Black Pearl, Pearl Thusi’s willingness to be sauced, roasted and then some, was admirable. One who can definitely handle the heat, Pearl said that she saw the Roast as “a sort of lifetime achievement award,” showing her standing in pop culture.

Speaking of spice and pops (but not the ones your thinking of), if you missed the Roast on Comedy Central this past Sunday, fear not. Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind has been delivering the spice to other unsuspecting victims all week.

Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind illustrated its mission to turn up the heat and shift the vodka vibes in bold style. The brand showed up at the homes of Quincy and Somizi, delivering unexpected surprises. Even the Yfm studios and the SMag newsroom received their own ravishing roasts.
