Inside Brutal Fruit Spritzer’s Sold Out Galentine’s Brunch
Let me tell you about the 1st of March, 2025, when Brutal Fruit decided to extend the love beyond February. You know those days when everything just clicks? It was one of those and a vibe of note from entrance to exit.
Held on the beautiful lawns of Ground in Muldersdrift, The Brutal Fruit Spritzer Galentine’s Brunch nourished us from inside and out. Ushered in by moody clouds and a cheeky drizzle, we were welcomed with warm smiles and white umbrellas. Dotting the Ground like little white mushrooms, they added yet another aspect of style to an already gorgeous decorated venue. Unfortunately, the clouds had no chill because the heat had me sweating my Fenty foundation off. Word of advice, bring a handheld fan – whether electric or Ghanaian style – just in case of heat emergencies. You do not want to get caught slipping (and sweating) like I did.
Brutal Fruit Spritzer’s Signature Experience: More Than Just a Brunch
The Brutal Fruit Spritzer Brunch Galentine’s edition was the best one yet. Inclusion at its best, everyone was the main character. Walking in, I checked in and immediately went to take pictures at the #SpritzerSaturdayBrunch sign standing tall on the lush green grass, next to the big arched heart.
Entry to the main space was dressed in a pretty pink carpet. On my way in, I was greeted by a group of photographers – paparazzi style. Made to feel like an A-lister, the opulence just kept getting better and better. The venue was decked with beautiful spaces that awaited to be the perfect backdrop to what would be cherished memories.

Luxury Beauty & Pampering Stations
Make-up lovers got a chance to sit in one of the world’s most prestigious chairs and have their make-up touched up with MAC makeup cosmetics. If you purchased two MAC products, you could get your full face done. Otherwise, a lippy touch-up and some mattifying powder.
For those in need of some pampering and downtime, Mangwanani Spa was on hand giving the best massages in town. Given the option of either a foot or shoulder massage, I opted for the latter and it was literally the best I’ve ever had. The most remarkable aspect of the spa is that it had the same relaxing feel as the brick-and-mortar spa we are used to. Truly, how many people can say they have received a massage at groove AND it was a relaxing session ever?
Of course, it wouldn’t be a complete Brutal fruit #SpritzerSaturdayBrunch without a Polaroid! Printing two triple-frame polaroids, me and my friend took different sets and got to exchange them. This way, we’ll never ever forget about each other on what turned out to be a magnificent day.
Brunch, Beats & Spritzers
Fed by brunch boxes filled with delicious treats, and later on burgers, the feast was washed down with ice-cold Brutal Fruit Spritzers. The mood was further elevated by DJs Nix, Le Nanza, Nahledi and Legendary Crisp, who each delivered fire sets! Nkosazana Daughter and Babalwa M’s performances set the stage on fire and had us all singing along. Her Majesty the Queen, Dj Zinhle, ended the day and closed it off with a pretty pink bow.
It was an easy day with no rush, loads to do and enough time for everyone to do it. No jostling for photo ops, no FOMO because you missed a station. I had time to eat, dance, get my makeup done, and even get a massage. And the staff? Angels who made sure I didn’t want for anything.

Without a doubt, the aspect that made the day as wonderful as it was, was the guests. Everyone I interacted with was so nice. A characteristic that we can’t afford to take for granted in these cruel times. Conversation was easy and the atmosphere was alive with excitement and an ease that money cannot buy. A safe space indeed, fun was had, stress was less and will definitely be remembered as one of the best days of Summer ‘25
Would I go again? Try and stop me. Brutal Fruit cracked the code: a space where #YouBelong leaves you feeling good about yourself like you matter – because you do. The rain tried its best, the heat tested us, but honestly? It was a great day out.
Thank you to all the ladies and gents that came out – it wouldn’t have been as fabulous if it wasn’t for y’ll!
