Encapsulating some of that magic is what most of us want. Even if just for a moment.

I got the chance to try out the Golden Crown Hair Oil and the Golden Wonder Wrinkle Perfector. If these two products are any indication of what this collection has to offer, then I need to get my hands on the rest of the collection by Isabella Garcia.
The Golden Hour Collection
Packaging
I am a sucker for great packaging. Both the Golden Crown Hair Oil and the Golden Wonder Wrinkle Perfector come in a box. It has hexagons printed on the top part with a golden foil – reminding me of a beehive.
When you open it and take the bottles out, you’ll notice that they’re snuggly tucked away and accompanied by a card insert. Depending on the product, it has directions, tips and notes printed on it for your convenience.
The bottles themselves are also lush with an expensive look and feel to them.
The Golden Crown Hair Oil comes in a silver and gold ombré bottle. It has a dropper with a button on the side of the cap. This ensures a tighter seal and also makes it easier to open. It was my first time seeing anything like this. Quite intriguing I must say.
The Golden Wonder Wrinkle Perfector comes in a slim bottle that has a pump and a clear lid. I guess they didn’t want to be too on the nose by making the silver detail gold. Still, it would have been interesting to see.
Golden Crown Hair Oil
Isabella Garcia created this hair oil to revive and repair your mane. It contains all the good stuff, such as:
- Argan oil
- Inca oil
- Jojoba oil
- Crambe Abyssinica seed oil
As a person who has naturally 4C hair, my hair care routine always includes oils.
Staying true to my LCO method, I applied my Golden Crown Hair Oil after my leave-in conditioner. It does advise you to use a few drops of oil to your hair – as a little goes a long way. I could not do this. To see and feel the results, I need at least half a cupped hand of the oil. With all the twists and turns that make up my coarse hair, it is fragile, has low porosity and is forever thirsty.
My hair lapped it up and left it soft, moisturised and easily manageable with a lovely sheen to it. Love that! It also acts as a heat protector so you can blowdry and iron your hair without worrying about damage to it.
Unfortunately, the first thing you notice about this oil is its musky perfume. It is very heavy on this scent. Personally, I don’t take to strong scents, especially the complex scent of musk. I do wish the perfume was a bit more subtle because I love it when my hair smells good.
The bottle contains 30ml of Golden Crown Hair Oil. Way to small, even for my short hair that keeps gaining length. I could finish it in a month – if not less – should I have my hair out for that duration and follow my weekly hair care routine.
Golden Wonder Wrinkle Perfector
Aimed at ironing out your facial creases, it was created to blur out:
- Wrinkles
- Dark circles
- Crow’s feet
- Puffy eyes
And illuminate your skin!
The Golden Wonder Wrinkle Perfector feels lush to the touch and contains:
- Wild rose hip fruit extract
- Caffeine
- Green Coffee
- Hexapeptide
True to its word, one drop goes a long way. After washing my face, I ended up using one pump worth of Golden Wonder Wrinkle Perfector. Dotting it all around my face, it evenly spread out, covering my entire face. Instantly moisturising my epidermis, I swear I could feel my skin plump up. I let the Golden Wonder Wrinkle Perfector sit on my skin for about a minute or two before I continued with the rest of my skincare routine.
The Golden Wonder Wrinkle Perfector also has this delicate floral scent. It is not intrusive and a nice little surprise every time you get a whiff of it.
