The Most Awarded Cognac House in the world, Courvoisier, recently hosted Melody Molale’s Fashion Cocktail Razzle. It was a daytime cocktail party that saw Molale unpack this summer’s trends in a masterclass style event.
On the purpose of the event and how Courvoisier® and fashion mix, Molale commented, “The #CourvoisierMoments event was to celebrate with my friends my love of fashion and my love for cocktails with Courvoisier. I’m a fashion girl and we thought it would be great to mix the two, by having a fun day and being together and celebrating the moment.”
Dressed to the nines in a bright orange short Valentino jumpsuit, matching Dolce & Gabbana Sicily 58 bag and white stretch Bottega Veneta block heel. A functional outfit with flair. “A dress I had had for a long tie one of my favourite dresses and I’ve been waiting to wear it, and this was a good time,” she commented.

Surrounded by close people in her close circle and industry friends, Molale’s Fashion Cocktail Razzle touched on 2022 fashion trends as well as sustainable fashion and their importance. She was joined by Aspasia Karras and Sharon Armstrong, who gave a trends workshop and talk respectively. They touched a lot on sustainability in fashion. “They touched a lot on sustainability in fashion. Textile pollution is the 3rd biggest polluter to the environment because of clothes that are discarded and end up in the ocean. We need to Conserve the environment and play our part – to repeat the clothes we already have, look after them,” Molale emphasised.
When you are out buying your next favourite clothing item, be sure to be mindful about your purchase. Molale suggests:
- Exploring more classic pieces that will transcend fabs
- Quality clothing that can stay in the family for generations
#CourvoisierMoments – fashion, fun and art all in one
The day was made up of music and cocktails in addition to the fashion masterclass. Guests were also treated to a cocktail masterclass. Here, they were taught how to make a Gala and a French twist. “There was a live performance by Siya. DJ Kenzhero came in to play before he jetted off to the airport to fly to Paris. Lali also played and we danced the night away,” she commented on the festivities.

Molale’s number one fashion trend advice for 2022 is to not shy away from colour. When it comes to make-up, she swears by just keeping it simple and just showing off your skin. “Keep it nice and natural with a bold lipstick,” she adds.
On the remainder of the year, she said, “The festivities continue and I’m looking forward to hosting my next curated event with Courvoisier in Cape Town, which is one of my favourite cities. I’m also really looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my family, and I haven’t done so in two years.
