Women Entrepreneurs Set to Benefit from New Development Initiative
The Minister of Small Business Development, Stella Tembisa Ndabeni, will officially launch Imbali for Her programme, a dedicated women’s enterprise development programme. The launch will take place on 15 May 2026 at Mittah Sperepere Convention in Kimberley, Northern Cape.
The Imbali for Her programme follows extensive consultations with women entrepreneurs. The programme reflects SEDFA’s deliberate effort to ensure that support interventions are responsive to the real needs, challenges, and lived experiences of women in small businesses.
Imbali for Her programme is positioned to drive inclusive and sustainable growth by focusing on three key objectives:
- Enhancing access to finance for women-owned enterprises
- Strengthening capacity through targeted business development support
- Enabling long-term, sustainable business growth
Financial Support and Business Development Opportunities
The programme targets all women-owned enterprises across the growth value chain through a blended support model, Imbali for Her programme
offers:
- Up to R5 million in blended finance
- business development support
- ongoing mentorship and coaching
This initiative represents a significant step towards strengthening the participation of women in the economy and unlocking their full entrepreneurial potential.
