Hyde Park Corner Celebrated Mother’s Day 2026 With Luxury Dining and Curated Gifts
Inside Hyde Park Corner’s Elegant Mother’s Day Celebrations
A Stylish Mother’s Day Celebration at Hyde Park Corner
Hyde Park Corner marked Mother’s Day on Sunday, 10 May 2026 with two distinct restaurant experiences, a curated luxury gift edit and an atmosphere designed around meaningful celebration.
From Japanese robata dining at KōL Izakhaya to an elegant brunch experience at The Forum Hyde Park, the centre offered a thoughtful approach to honouring mothers through shared experiences rather than material excess.
There was a quiet understanding that the most memorable gifts were rarely objects alone. They were moments around a table, long conversations and occasions that invited people to slow down together.

KōL Izakhaya Presented a Japanese Robata Feast
Taking centre stage for Mother’s Day was KōL Izakhaya, Hyde Park Corner’s Japanese robata grill restaurant, which introduced a family-style dining menu designed to encourage connection and shared celebration.
Built around the traditional Japanese cooking technique of Binchō-tan charcoal grilling, the restaurant’s menu showcased clean, layered flavours achieved through near-smokeless white charcoal produced from kiln-fired hardwood.
The family platter for four, priced at R1,600, included:
- Omakase Sushi
- Wagyu Skewers
- Miso Glazed Salmon
- Beef Short Rib
- Edamame Beans
- Beef Gyoza
- Steamed Japanese Rice
- Matcha and Black Sesame Ice Cream
Larger groups opted for the platter for six at R2,685, which expanded the experience with Black Cod Bites, thinly sliced beef rib and Yuzu Ice Cream.
Every mother dining at KōL Izakhaya also received a complimentary drink and Tea Ceremony experience.
