With lockdown restrictions at Level 1, giving audiences and artists a space to safely meet, the Centre for the Less Good Idea is pleased to be reigniting the FOR ONCE programme: a regular live performance programme at the Centre in which new work is incubated and shown for one-night-only.
For the month of March, a dance performance from collaborating choreographer/dancers Xolisile Bongwana and Thulisile Binda, “Mtwan’oMntu”, will be presented For Once on the evening of 26 March 2021.
Mtwan’oMntu is an exploration of a deep yearning for connectedness. It mines life’s complex, highly dynamic and non-linear expressions in seeking a belonging and building relationships – be itself, love or spiritual connections. Mtwan’oMntu is a journey that evokes the awareness of a mongoose and is premised on the idea that the energy flows to where your attention goes.
