In celebration of the Africa Rising Music Conference (ARMC), which is a little under a month away, we got to know RIMON better.
After debuting with her song Grace in 2018, Eritrean born, Amsterdam raised RIMON quickly established herself as one of our generations prominent voices in RnB. In both her first singles and her debut EP, she voices a message of empowerment. A message she relays to both herself and to other women worldwide.
Having recently returned from a trip, RIMON shot a music video for her stand-out track titled 20/20. The video aims to showcase the beauty of Ethiopia, both the country and its people. The visuals for 20/20 will be available in the first week of May. Before then, you can indulge in a live session she shot live in Addis for her song iClout.
Digital Tears was her third and most conceptual release yet. The 20/20 music video will end that chapter and start the journey she is planning to release new material.
The Africa Rising Music Conference will see her embark on her EU tour during the festival season. The tour will kick off on June 6th Brussels and will take her all across Europe. A US leg will added to the tour later on this year.
As RIMON has a bit of an organic buzz (especially amongst tastemakers/DJs/Twitter users), she’d love to figure out a way to connect with them. She’s open to all suggestions and would love to do some radio should the time allow and magazine interviews.
