The awards ceremony not only celebrated the best in African music but also highlighted the profound influence of the continent’s artistry on the global stage. Here are the winners of the TRACE Awards 2025:
Song of the Year
South African duo Tito & Huppe took home the award for their chart-topping anthem Tswhala Bam, a global dancefloor sensation.
Album of the Year
Nigerian superstar Rema won with his critically acclaimed album Heis, a masterpiece blending Afrobeats and global influences. He also secured the Male Artist of the Year award.
Best Collaboration
Ivorian hitmakers Tam Sir & Team Paiya won for their explosive track Coup du Marteau, a fusion of rhythm and energy.
Best Music Video
Meji Alabi claimed the award for his visionary direction of DND by Remi, a visual masterpiece that pushed creative boundaries.
Best Dancer
