WIN! Hunter’s celebrates youth of SA with a case of Red Apple

June 16, 2021

Living in a time where the future looks bleak, we sometimes lose sight of just how challenging it can be to be young. Living with a dream and being told you might not make it – the youth continues to rise to the challenge. Having to:

  • Prove their worth over Zoom interviews
  • Going back to tried and tested methods of sending a demo CD or Sound Cloud link to be heard
  • Giving away their creative flair for free on social channels in the hope to be discovered

Despite of whatever, you can bet on the fact that you – the youth – are making it happen in your style.

You make an effort by:

  • Pulling your socks up
  • Starting a business from scratch
  • Conquering your fears
  • Graduating in dire situations
  • Buying property
  • Standing tall

And you don’t stop there! Hunter’s Cider sees the amazing things you make happen. Notwithstanding the occasion, Hunter’s is here to cheer to the world the youth has made their own. Cheers to the young people of South Africa! Continue to prove them wrong and never give up on your dreams.

Hunter’s

I prove them wrong by showing up, even when I am clueless, scared or feel not ready.. I show up and I give it my all

I proved them wrong by defying the odds. When life had me on my knees and I had to face grief head on, I took the challenge and lessons and did some personal work. I proved them wrong by being vulnerable, intentional and kind in my actions. Every day is a struggle, but a challenge to prove them wrong and kill them with kindness one more time.

I bet defying the odds feels a little something like winning the lottery where a stronger version of you is the prize. I cannot imagine what you had to overcome but the fact that you faced it head on and embraced the lessons is remarkable. So proud of you B! All the best for the competition!

Simple answer for me is hard work and consistency. I’ve been struggling for quite sometime being unemployed, two years to be exact. Decided to change my mindset, applied these two and eventually got employed. Two years later after being employed, i still had the same qualities, applied it on my day-to-day work, and i was recognized with an award for best performer 🙂

I managed to graduate when I was diagnosed with depression. Went on with life and I was sexually assaulted by a man and that landed me in a psychiatric facility. They thought it was over for me, but I recently started a baking business and I’ve never seen myself at peace ever since my mental illness diagnose. I picked myself up and proved them wrong.

I have managed to achieve my goal to graduate even though it was extremely hard mentally even though I have proved them wrong I believe I am still on the journey of proving them wrong by establishing a youth based business which I believe will empower young people and hopefully prevent them from feeling inadequate.
