Warner Music Africa is launching their student ambassador program, Culture Shifters, in collaboration with various South African universities and colleges this year. Building on its rebrand to reflect a more on-the-pulse multimedia company, Warner Music Africa understands that South African youth are vital drivers behind the music and pop culture and has established the program to connect with them.
Culture Shifters responds to the youth’s call to open the music industry and bridge the experience gap young artists and creatives face. Through the program, second and third year tertiary art students will join WMA workshops with various department heads. They will get the opportunity to sit in on creative meetings and attend key industry launches and events. Culture Shifters will allow students to gain first-hand work experience and insight into the inner workings of a leading record label.
Successful applicants will also be able to draw from their respective academic disciplines and collaborate on multi-disciplinary content strategies to add to their portfolios.
Applications are currently open at wmacultureshifters.com and close on 12 March 2022.
