Limited Edition OREO Coca-Cola Biscuit – A Must-Try Fusion

A team-up I never knew I needed invited me to taste a fusion that my inner foodie cannot get enough of. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you, the limited edition Coca-Cola flavoured Oreo. Already available in SA, the world’s favourite soft drink and vegan cookie are officially brand besties! They have made it official with the OREO Coca-Cola biscuit, which you just have to experience asap!

The newly formed friendship also has a Coca‑Cola® OREO™ Zero Sugar Limited Edition, which I am dying to taste! Currently not available in SA, I hope it also makes its way to our shores. Literally, one of the main reasons I want to go to Asia – Thailand, Tokyo, China and Japan to be specific – is to taste all of the Coke variants… and other snacks. your girl is a snacker and it’d be an actual dream come true. Until then, I’ll always have Spar.

A Perfect Fusion of OREO and Coca-Cola

I digress. The limited edition OREO Coca-Cola biscuit will be an instant hit for Oreo and Coke fans. Right off the bat, the cookies are air-cushioned in their sleek, striking plastic packaging. This should already let you know you’re about to indulge in some fresh cookies. As soon as you pop it open, a whiff of concentrated Coca-Cola escapes, that’ll leave you pining for more. In true best buddy form, the biscuits are embossed with the classic OREO logo design on one side and the famous Coca-Cola bottle on the other.

Now, right off the bat, you may think this treat is sweet af – and you’d be wrong. Surprisingly, it’s not. Now, this is relatively speaking as our tastebuds are as unique as fingerprints. I am, however, speaking as someone who can’t stand sweet sweet things. To the point where one teaspoon of sugar violates my tastebuds. Nonetheless, I like my sweet treats here and there and this definitely tickles my jones. Having the same great biscuit and creme texture we all know and love, the Coca-Cola flavour is concentrated in the biscuit, with just a hint of it in the creme.

A bite made in heaven

The bite is a crispy snap that instantly dissolves in your mouth before it amalgamates with the creaminess of the creme. Listen, those first few moments with the coarse biscuit melting and the creme swirling before they become one and the taste of actual Coca-Cola dancing on your taste buds and swirling in and on your senses are absolute bliss 🥺.

I’m a Coca-Cola drinker, Zero Sugar, Cherry and Vanilla to be specific – and I am tempted to dunk it in some of that Cola. I have a feeling it’ll be too rich in the normal, cherry and vanilla coke because of the sugar content. It might be an interesting experience with the Zero Sugar.

At the Ultimate Collab is Here – OREO® x Coca-Cola® event, they served a most decadent dessert. A sour cream cheese-based dessert which was complimented beautifully by the sweet cola of the OREO Coca-Cola biscuit.
