Luxurious Marble Circus 2025: South Africa’s Premier Luxury Festival Experience
Inside the Magical World of the Luxurious Marble Circus 2025
The Luxurious Marble Circus 2025: A South African Festival Like No Other
The Luxurious Marble Circus is set to reimagine the South African festival scene with its innovative fusion of luxury, theatre, circus, and gastronomic food experiences. Set to take place on 4-5 October 2025 at The Ground Venue in Mildersdrift, I caught up with Greg Walsh and he let us know why this festival is like no other and a glimpse of why this event is not like any other and what visitors can look forward to in the coming years.

The Marble Circus Vision
The idea was thought of by the Marble Group, who aimed to reimagine the celebratory experience in South Africa. The country is full of music festivals and food festivals, but none offered a high-luxury atmosphere intertwining fantastic spaces alongside experiential cultural experiences.
The Luxurious Marble Circus was conceived as an expression of capturing the brand’s philosophy: a harmonious integration of music, high fashion, theater, circus entertainment, and epicurean cuisine—all giving fans an event “never seen before”.
Last year saw the first of the inaugural Luxurious Marble Circus, which saw their vision manifest into an incredible success. We were enchanted and mesmorised by the whimsical stages, experimental theatrical performances accentuated by music performances, and a unique culinary experience specifically created by the Marble Group.
Culinary Delights: Gourmet Experiences at Luxurious Marble Circus
Food is at the heart of the Luxurious Marble Circus, you can expect a variety of cuisines in their dining room, lounges and on the playground.
Greg Walsh, CEO of G&G Productions and co-founder of LMC, says, “It’s a curated experience,” he explains. “We’re looking at food that matches the grandeur of the event — think high-end, think luxury, but also playful, because this is still a circus.”
Guests can expect a more refined experience this year with the dining room and lounge being reduced in capacity. The three distinct dining experiences are:
- The Grand Dining Room – A fine-dining space inspired by Marble, offering a multi-course seated meal. Each table receives all dishes, ensuring a shared feast rather than individual orders.
- The Royal Lounge – A refined, slightly more relaxed setting for beautiful afternoon platings and lunch experiences.
- The Festival Playground – Pantry-inspired food stands across the grounds, doubling in number this year from 9 to 16. Expect more variety, shorter queues, and creative “street food done luxuriously.”
Greg highlighted new dishes that’ll be making their debut in October such as the indulgent lobster rolls, which David Higgs is doing with BBC Food and J’Something, and a beautiful sandwich bar. Pantry favourites such as the Pizzas and pastries will also be making a return.
“It’s a curated experience,” he explains. “We’re looking at food that matches the grandeur of the event — think high-end, think luxury, but also playful, because this is still a circus,” Greg says.
Theatre, Circus & Spectacle: Entertainment Highlights for 2025
This year, things are going to be bigger and better at the festival! The already opulent mainstage will be doubled with it being wider and a bit more higher to further amplify the lighting, decorations and circus acts to give more grandeur.
There’ll be all sorts of entertainment to keep you stimulated from:
- Tightrope walkers 18-meters above your head
- Acts coming from the stage to engage with audiences
- Aerialists
- Magicians
- Floating saxophone and violinist
- Pyrotechnics, that’ll light up the sky
These extraordinary show moments will be taking place in between DJ sets that’ll have you dancing to ever.

Luxury Meets Fashion, Whimsy & Wine
Beyond the performances, new festival spaces elevate the experience further. The Emporium — a 200-square-metre fully-fitted retail store — debuts this year, offering a curated line of fashion-forward merchandise, including items with their collaboration with Tshepo Jeans.
“I can’t even call it merchandise, It’s high fashion wear” says Greg. “we are having a full range of luxurious marble circuit fashion wear. I’ve put together different styles of T-shirts, caps, beautiful duffel bags, scarves, pittins, iron on badges, and all kinds of amazing things, and they’ll be sold from our shop, which is called the Emporium. The Emporium is a grand new feature. ”
Another highlight is the new La Vaulta Spectaculum stage. It’ll be built around three Olympic-standard trampolines designed with landing platforms and running walls for trapeze artists to somersault and back flip all while the DJ is playing a set up there with the. Yes, you read that correctly. A play element will also be on the playground in the form of an uncaged carousel this year.
Wine lovers can escape to the Grand Venarium, a new pavilion with Vilafonté and Creation Wines available at the wine bar set into the apple orchards. It’ll be situated right next to another new fun addition to the circus, which is the Wheel of Wonder by Investec – a Ferris wheel that’ll be offering complimentary rides throughout the day, with Investec clients getting the luxury of an express lane.
Fan-Favourite Experiences: Moët & Chandon, Johnnie Walker & Don Julio
Fan faves will also be back better than before, with Moët & Chandon being among them. Johnnie Walker will be bringing the AfroExchange pan-African vibes, and Don Julio will be welcoming you into their House of Tequila. Fashion house Fabiani will also be on the playground with a gentlemen’s club inspired space where food trucks with celebrity chefs will be present and a golfcart that’ll take lucky individuals to a hot balloon experience.
Heineken is also staging South Africa’s most ambitious Formula One installation yet. “I don’t have all the details yet,” Greg teases, “but people are going to get the closest they’ve ever been to Formula One in South Africa inside that space.”
The Luxurious Marble Circus is officially the most lavish annual event in South Africa, with it being held in Johannesburg every October. Currently, the circus is stationary, but it going on the road is a strong possibility.

Enjoy More This Year at The Luxurious Marble Circus
With its growing popularity, innovative programming, and dedicated fan base, Marble Circus is poised to become a cultural landmark event in South Africa’s calendar in the coming years. Greg expresses, “More seating, more running performers, more fireworks, more fans – just trying to make it as magically as possible for people to come and have a fashionable, luxurious day out.”
The Marble Circus Festival is a bold statement in the South African event scene, reconciling elegance and fantasy, high culture and entertainment, and fine cuisine and thrilling performance art. Not only does it create a festival, but a sensory theatrical event, setting a higher standard for luxury festivals to come.
