Ster-Kinekor is not here to play and on a roll to – what looks like – revamp and revitalise every Ster-Kinekor out there. First, it was with Ster-Kinekor Greenstone where it saw the addition of Kids’ Cinema. Now, Ster-Kinekor Carnival City has officially opened its doors to their newly renovated cinemas that have been upgraded for your convenience and enjoyment.

Seated on one of the softest couches that were upholstered with the freshest leather, I enjoyed the pleasure of having enough armrest, two cup holders and enough seat to sit my popcorn on as I waited for the screen to come to life. Enjoying the brand new space, it served as a great getaway after a hectic week of exams, work and kids. An escape from reality and a vehicle to an alternate universe where I was about to live vicariously through a lens and a fictional character on a big screen. #FridayFun for the win y’ll!

Dedicated to delivering on their tagline – “Great moments at their greatest”, Ster-Kinekor has not only improved Ster-Kinekor Carnival City with a new foyer but they have also added a luxurious Cine Prestige theatre and a Kids’ Cinema.

“The cinema now offers a broader range of movie-watching experiences, with something for everyone,” says Ster-Kinekor’s Deputy CEO, Chief of Marketing & Sales, Motheo Matsau. “For Ster-Kinekor, the experience is everything – we want to take the magic of the movies to a whole new spectacular level.”

Cine Prestige, “where luxury meets the magic of the big screen”, brings the premium experience to those who love the finer things. Here audiences can relax in fully reclining leather seats, with gourmet snacks and fine coffee blends all available to order from the comfort of one’s chair. It’s a wonderful life!

For younger viewers (and their parents), the Kids’ Cinema is a happy place: Colourful beanbag seating and an indoor slide and ball pool ensure maximum enjoyment – because when it comes to fun, there’s not a moment to lose.

As always, the Ster-Kinekor cinemas are fitted with superior digital projection and surround sound, so that audiences can enjoy the movies as they were meant to be seen. There are plenty of new releases to look forward to, so there’s no better time to enjoy Ster-Kinekor Carnival City’s magical makeover.
