South African superstar Zahara has announced the release of her fifth studio album. The lead single named Nyamezela will be released on 7 May.
The multiple SAMA award-winning singer/songwriter explains that the song is about holding onto hope, even through days of adversity. It is a song she believes many will relate to.”I think it’s what we all need right now – a ray of hope during these trying times. I hope you like It,” says Zahara.
The track was recorded with her long-time producer Mojalefa ‘Mjakes’ Thebe in Johannesburg. Mjakes has been instrumental in Zahara’s career and has worked with the songstress since her debut album, proving that they have a winning formula.

Her fifth studio album, which is still to be titled, is slated for release in June 2021.
