2020 has undoubtedly been one of the hardest years to hit the entertainment industry. One artist who has kept things pushing regardless of the fact is Moozlie as she continues to fight the good fight as she gears up for the release of her next single “LaLaLa”.
Produced by Lunatik, LaLaLa has all the makings of a summer anthem. Sonically, it celebrates the sounds of a quintessential South African summer with prominent kwaito elements reminiscent of TKzee Family. Moozlie & Lunatik have collaborated before as Lunatik is also the mastermind behind Moozlie’s well-loved single Vatel. It’s no surprise that fans are looking forward to hearing what they’ve got in store for us now.
LaLaLa serves as the 2nd official single from Moozlie’s upcoming project titled Spirit of An OG, which the rapper put together during the lockdown in her home studio that she acquired with the help of Castle Lite. This will be Moozlie’s 3rd body of work and after dropping multiple hints on social media, it’s expected to be one of the biggest independent music drops of the summer.
“While some people shy away from embracing & celebrating their roots, I’ve always done my best to remember the sounds & the people that came before me. I think it’s really important to keep authentic South African music alive & that’s exactly what this song does,” said the recording artist when asked why she chose to go this route with the sound for “Lalala”. On how she thinks people will react to this new banger, she simply says “it’s gonna take you back.”
“Lalala” is set to drop today, November 27th & will be available on all music stores.
